| Soooo...been a while huh? So, I turned 20 in January...just one more year, lol. Anthony developed anxiety problems and had to quit work. He's still looking for a new job, hopefully something comes up soon. He's applying to Home Depot, so hopefully he'll get hired there. I"m almost done school, only a week and a half left. I'm also in the process of looking for a new job. I'm hoping to find something in a daycare or learning center of some kind. I want to work with kids, I think it'd be more fun than MG. That's about it. I'm currently back in contact with my dad and half brother. More-so with my half brother. Not sitting real well in this dad issue. It's nice to talk to my brother again. I always wished we had been able to get to know each other, now we can. He's also thinking about moving up here with his fiance, Amanda, and daughter, (aka my niece) Jayde. I hope they do move up here, that would be awesome. They currently live in Florida, so having them move up here would make getting to know them a whole lot easier. ~Dana | | |
| So, a belated Merry Christmas to all, and a Happy New Year! It's been a busy couple weeks with Christmas and whatnot. Christmas was ok. On Christmas Eve, Anthony's brother was arrested for burglary and using the credit cards he stole to buy Wawa gift cards and selling them. His picture was in the paper with an article on Saturday. He was caught on tape, and is facing 3-5 years in state. It isn't looking good. So Christmas Eve wasn't too much fun, but we made the best of it. Christmas we spent the morning with my family, we opened presents and then had breakfast. My mom got me tickets to Riverdance in April and I'm so excited. She wrapped the keys to my new car, although I already knew I had it anyway, but it was cute. Anthony got me a bracelet, and it's really pretty. My sister gave me a Lite Brite, I was so excited. lol. I gave my sister a picture frame, Anthony a dvd of a series he likes and a t-shirt, and my mom a gift card to a hair salon and spa so she could have some pampering. Then for dinner we went to Anthony's grandparents. His nephew and his mom was there. Poor baby Zachary wasn't feeling well...he's been sick for a few weeks and had been at the hospital on Christmas Eve (after Anthony's brother was arrested). Later over the weekend, Zachary was back at the hospital for RSV and Bronchilitus. He was at CHOP for a couple days, but went home yesterday. We visited him on Sunday when we were visiting Anthony's parents. Tonight was ok. Anthony worked earlier, and I did some errands. We didn't go out tonight though. Anthony didn't want to go anywhere, and he said I wasn't allowed to anyway because he wanted me to rest because of having so many Mono flair ups the last few weeks. He's so cute how caring he is, I love it. So we ordered food from where my sister works, and watched Little Miss Sunshine, then rang in the new year with my family. By the way, as of December 1, Anthony and I were together for a year, and we're still together. Actually, today is our 13 month anniversary. I also turn 20 in 12 days!! Sorry I don't update much. There isn't much going on, and when there is I don't usually have time. Forgive me? lol ~Dana | | |
| Ok, So I haven't been on here much. I dont really blog all that much anymore. Let's see.... Anthony got medically discharged from Corpsman school in June. He came home Thursday, June 26th from Illinois for good. He proposed to me on Friday June 27th, 2008. We went to dinner and movie, then hung out at this park near his grandparent's house, and he asked me to marry him under the moon and stars. :) It was wonderful. In early July, he was kicked out of his grandparent's house. It was stupid. He lived with our friend Hart for a little while, but now he lives with me. He works at the Grove with me, and is attempting to get his lisence soon so he can quit and work somewhere else so he can have better/different hours. He's working on saving for an apartment, and to hopefully go to school sometime in the next 2 years. Right now I have a lot going on. Not much interesting, just a lot of boring, usual stuff. I go to school full time at Penn State, and I work at the Grove part time. I have a lot of afternoon/night classe so I dont have to be up early, which is nice. I drive Anthony around until he has his license. I'll probably still drive even after he has it. lol. Yesterday was the election for the president. I wasn't going to vote, but at the last minute decided to go ahead and join the crowd. I voted for Obama, because I thought he would do a good job and I support his views on most things. I believe he'll do well and I'm so happy the majority of our country thinks so too. I'm so happy we finally have a black president, we've made history! I am sad that Arizona, Florida and California have all seemed to ban gay marriage....I hope one day that will change nationwide. Ahhh....I wonder if anyone still reads this if I update. let me know so i know whether i should even bother updating regularly again. ~Dana | | |
| So Anthony graduated April 4th, and I went out to see him. It was so amazing to finally see him after 2 months. It was so wonderful to be held in his arms again. That weekend was the best weekend of my life. We left Sunday, and it was so hard that next week since he wasn't in school yet but hadn't left boot camp yet. He finally went to school that Wednesday, and bought a cell phone on Thursday. It broke Friday, but he snuck out to get it fixed on Sunday...he's my little bad ass, lol. So it's been a lot easier to communicate now. We talk and text each other a lot. It's so great. He started classes about a week or so ago. He's supposed to graduate July 25th, but it might get pushed back depending on how his classes turn out and whatnot. They started a week or so later than they were supposed to...so yeah...it's debatable when he'll graduate, but ah well. I'm going out to see him again in June. My friend Laz from school said he'd be more than happy to drive out there with me, so I'm so excited about that. Anthony bought me a ring a few weeks ago...so he's going to propose to me that weekend :) I'm so excited, lol. When he's stationed somewhere, he's goin to get a house off base as soon as possible for us to live in...and I"ll live there as often as I can. I'll have to stay here during the week for school, but maybe (depending on if he's stationed close to here) we can live together on the weekends, or every few weekends. We can hopefully spend holidays together. We're also trying to plan our wedding for Halloween this year...if that doesn't work out then we'll get married sometime between April and June...but yeah, we're definitely getting married sometime within the next year. And if all goes well and if he's able to, he might be going to school for Journalism next spring while working with the Navy. It would count as his active duty as long as he's in school as a full time student. That means he won't be deployed as long as he's a full time student. If he starts next spring, he'll most likely graduate the end of the fall semester in 2012...and he's done with the Navy on February 7, 2013...so his window for being deployed is limited. It's possible, but it's slim. That's what's been going on lately. My semester is done, and I started summer classes on the 19th. I'm transferred to the new restaurant at the Grove, and we just opened the restaurant tonight. It's invitation only until the 19th (ooo, coincidence), which is when it's open to the entire community (the retirement home). By that point I'll only be working mornings, and Friday and Saturday nights....since my summer classes are from 1pm until 9:25 pm Monday through Thursday until the first week of June. Ahhh, I have to take 3 summer classes to be able to graduate next spring. I will graduate by then...I have to...I plan on moving in with Anthony for good by next summer...so I HAVE to graduate in the spring. After a little while, and after getting used to married life and being in a new state (probably) and whatnot, then I'll apply to a school around there and go for my english degree. I decided I want to write. I'm probably not using my degree from PSU for much, unless for some reason I have to later in life...but I really just plan to write and have work published. Anthony is fully supportive of that. He knows it makes me happy and it's what I love to do....and I love that he supports me in my ambition to do so. Yup, that's my life. Hectic, but so worth it. I miss Anthony so much, but eventually we'll be together and it'll be so great. I can't wait until 2013 though....that's when the hell of being a military girlfriend/fiance/wife will be over (or it should be anyway). ~*Dana*~ | | |
| Anthony called me this afternoon!! I was so happy! I really wasn't expecting him to call since he graduates in 2 days. He told me how they finished battle stations last night, and he'd explain more about it when he sees me, and he isn't as sick anymore. He just has the sniffles, lol. We talked about it, and he wants to propose to me officially this weekend. We want to go to the mall or somewhere they sell rings, without our parents knowing yet, and then at dinner that night he'd propose in front of my mom, his aunt and his grandmom and the entire restaurant. I really hope it works out, I would love it if he propose to me this weekend. I'll be ok if it didn't work out, I mean we weren't goin to get engaged until another month or so, but it'd just be so great if he was able to propose this weekend. Also, we might move our wedding up to maybe sometime between September-November. Maybe aroudn Halloween, that'd be kind of cool to have a masquerade reception. As far as after we're married and I move to where he is after I graduate, he wants to live off-base, so that'd be nice I guess. Then after he's out of active duty, we'd have somewhere to live already and wouldn't have to worry about finding a place later. We're goin to talk more about everything this weekend. Ahh! I can't wait to see him!! I dont think I'll sleep tonight, or tomorrow night...I'm just too wired up and excited and have so many thoughts floating through my head. So I'll update more when I get the chance. Hopefully I'll have wireless internet connection while I'm in Great Lakes, but if I dont, then I'll update when I get back. ~*Dana*~ | | |
